2008 Diary Dates

Well, a new year and we are starting to get dates in for when we will be out and about.  Not many confirmed as yet but the list will be updated as we get closer to the start of the season.  Here’s hoping for a drier (if not sunnier) one than last year.  As well as our usual Iron Age and Medieval time travel, we may well be doing some Viking and 17th century work too, maybe even as far forward as the 18th century, so who knows, you could see us anywhen!

2008
May 3/4 - Peat Moors Centre, nr Glastonbury, Silures, Iron Age Group Read Article
May 17/18 - Rufford Abbey, Nottingham, Tudors, Late 15th C (to be confirmed)
May 24/25 - Venue Change - We’ll now be at Chepstow Castle with The Siege Group celebrating the 360th anniversary of the siege of Chepstow Castle.  We are Parliamentarians and they have found us a nice bunch of Royalists to fight with so in addition to the usual living history in the camp there will more than likely be a confrontation or two going on....
June 28/29 - Windsor, Tudors, Late 15th C (to be confirmed)
July 12/13 - Tewkesbury, Tudors, War of the Roses - this one definate (subject to the rain.......)
This is the 25th anniversary of this event and it is going to be an extra big one this year, at least the normal 2000+ on the battlefield plus living history and everything else, well worth the visit if you want to see a big event, and it’s even free to get in!
July 26/27 - Berkeley Castle - medieval - After the complete washout of last year it appears there is going to be a smaller event on one weekend only this year.  Not confirmed yet if our group is going but we intend to get ourselves invited to this one one way or another, this is one of our favourite places.
or
Forty Hall, Enfield, Siege Group - we have a clash of events this weekend and are now most likely to be at Forty Hall, we will confirm this shortly
